Register for National Safe Sedation (NSS) course

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:

Please do not attend the meeting if you are: unwell, have been out of the country in the 14 days leading up to the course or have been in contact with anyone with suspected /confirmed COVID-19

The National Safe Sedation course will have the following measures in place to keep all attendees and the faculty as safe as possible:

  • ready access to handwashing facilities
  • hand sanitiser readily available in the teaching room(s)
  • rooms with open windows – please bring warm clothing!
  • seats set 2 metres apart
  • refreshments presented in individual packets / sachets – please bring your own lunch
  • no physical contact (except for the faculty) with equipment used in workstations and simulation
  • paper and biros for notes and the MCQ will not be provided

IMPORTANT:

  • before registering for the NSS course please check that a consultant in your department has already completed the NSS course, or, has already registered for the course that you are planning to attend
  • a maximum of two ‘non-paying’ staff are allowed per department per course
  • when you register for the NSS course your payment (in the case of doctors) will be taken before your place on the course has been confirmed
  • confirmation will be made within 48 hours
  • refunds will be made promptly if you do not fulfil the criteria for attending the NSS course
  • if you fulfil the criteria for attending the NSS course you will be sent log in details to access the mandatory e-learning, which must be completed before attending the course
